Printed by Maddock at the Victorian College of the Arts.

Commissioned as a member's print for the Print Council of Australia.

Maddock introduced photo-etching to the Victorian College of the Arts, where she taught from 1971-1980. Maddock was the first female instructor in the art school’s history since its foundation in 1859.

Influenced by Andy Warhol, Maddock nevertheless pushed this commission beyond the pale of his Death and Disaster series of the mid-1960s, or the mug-shots in the Thirteen Most Wanted Men mural (1964), in her depiction of four murdered children.
